How to Track Calls, WhatsApp and Forms from PPC
Service-business leads rarely arrive through one neat checkout. People call, send a WhatsApp message, submit a form and sometimes return later. Tracking should capture those useful actions without pretending every contact is equally qualified.
Define the enquiry events
Track clicks to call, WhatsApp and email, successful form submissions and confirmed bookings where possible. Use clear event names and test each path on mobile and desktop.
Separate contact from quality
A click on a phone number is a useful signal, not proof of a sale. Record qualified leads and won jobs in a CRM or simple lead log so campaign decisions can move beyond raw platform conversions.
Avoid duplicate counting
One person may click WhatsApp twice or submit a form after calling. Configure tags carefully, validate thank-you states and use lead records to prevent duplicated actions from inflating performance.
Feed outcomes back into optimisation
Review which campaigns, search terms and locations produce qualified conversations. Where privacy and platform requirements allow, import better downstream outcomes rather than teaching bidding systems that every enquiry has the same value.
This guide is general information, not a performance guarantee. Search demand, costs and outcomes vary by market, offer, tracking quality and sales process.
